Never saw that, but I can relate. What's up with the video popping back and forth between WTTW and another source? That's the PBS station in Chicago. Its owned by Window To The World Communications who also own WFMT 98.7. I can ramble on about it but I won't.

Everytime I see someone either with, or shown with (see these video clips) they're always wearing glasses. I think that is the only thing in these video clips that I cannot relate to. Everybody in my family except for me wears glasses, which is odd. I'm the crazy one with aspergers syndrome.

Sorry for going too off topic and personal. Nobody knew what my problem was until I was in 5th grade. I was on pill after pill. In 2nd grade it was ADD and the first thing they gave me was ritalin. Then Prozac, Zoloft, you name it. As an adult, the Zoloft helps a more serious problem, obsessive compulsive disorder. I think OCD is worse than aspergers in some cases.

As I said above, aspergers syndrome is often overdiagnosed these days. Many people think its fake. Its not. Whoever wrote that episode was right on the money.

ok blah blah blah enough.

how about instead of making fun of people with autism they could go down another route,maybe have a new kid named Rainman Jr appear as a new student in the background or something like that.maybe they could ask for his advise on various things like math and stuff. maybe cartman could get into a scheme to win money at a casino and has Rainman jr go to win for him..a parody of the casino scene from rainman and maybe the movie 21..that would be an interesting route to go.

Finally! Someone else is with me on this!

As a South Park fan with HFA (High Functioning Autism), I would love to see an epsiode on Aspergers/autism.

I have suggested the idea to the FAQ ages ago, but nothings happened. Already, I can see elements of Aspergers/autism in various episodes, including the infamous Tourettes episode, Cartman Sucks about the cure for gayness through Christianity, Timmy 2000, Tonsil Trouble, Ginger Kids, etc, Even Craig, my favourite charcter is elements of AS in him!

There was a member of AFF (Aspies for Freedom) who made a fanfiction titles AssBurgers and it was about a new student moving to South Park and Cartman, as usual, mocks him and the family he's with is rich and also, his mum and brother are on the spectrum as well and when Ben (the new students) gets made fun of, his mum steps in.

I also like the idea of the reference to Rainman.

This will make Autism Speaks bowl over!!!!!

No offence but i find it annyoing the way people always say people are things, like eminem being depressive or having social anxiety or aspergers because of slight things, same with craig, same with other people.
Slight things that are like a minor version of something and everyone starts claiming that that person has something, maybe this causes a over-diagnosis, or at least encourages it on other people unrelated but act like that (not at full scale). And i know this may sound silly but i think if someones diagnosed with something, if their told they have something they normally act like it. Kind of like a placebo reversed.

Also i always thought it was aspergers not assburgers, so when i read Assburgers i thought u meant ass burgers lol

Plus

I think its too hard to make a decent episode about this since getting help with homework is just a boring and stupid idea. And casinos are to do with maths but unless you measure the ball angle, weight, height and what force the roulette table (or whatever its called) is span at then you can't work it out exactally.

And ive went too into detail sorry.

Episode ideas maybe towlie episode or a new ben assleck one?

Btw ive been tested for aspergers and the doctor said i was fine, but it was more of a settling in thing and it was only after a month of high school.

Are you sure which of your problems are due to aspergers and which are due to OCD when you have both?

When the show tackles a topic i've not thought much of and it gets me researching;those are the episodes with the longest effect. But this won't make us do 'homework,' everyone knows what this is about, and it'd be next to impossible to make it funny.
they did an overdiagnosed mental illness episode on ADD AND a mental illness thats thought to be overdiagnosed but isn't on tourettes episode. Can't do more.

ive been tested for aspergers and the doctor said i was fine

Its possible to get a negative on those tests?

I wish the diagnostic criteria were tighter- so resources could go to ppl who really needed them. I have no idea how 1/2 the people i know with it got diagnosed, if the other half who really need the help got what we did (And some people who weren't diagnosed with nothing) we'd be better off.

We can just pretend craig or whoever is on the spectrum - ff for the win!

I kinda thinks its a good idea for a episode tbh. Look at it from this angle.

Episode:

They get a new boy in class and the teacher openly tell them before he welcomes him in that the new kid has Ass burgers and Cartman burst out in laughter smiling;

Cartman: Wait. What did you say..? Ass Burgers? aaahahahaha! (Kenny chuckles)
Kyle: Shut up Cartman! Its a serious desease!
Cartman: So now your taking ass burgers side in all of this? How immature! Did they ban ass burgers in Jewrusalem or something?

As the teacher welcomes the boy in the classroom he's keeping his distance. Everyone seems kinda frightened but he's just a normal kid. Everyone talks behind his back, even Tweek and Timmy keeps their distance at first because they find his disease to be weird and awkward when in reality theres nothing weird about him.
Kyle being the moral in all of this tries to reason with the other kids in the hallway after class with the kid on his side when Wendy interrupts and say;

I know what your trying to do Kyle, but he's retarded. Theres nothing you can do about it.

Cartman pokes him and asks seriously; Do they eat ass burgers in your family?
The new kid just looks at him; What the f*ck do you mean? Im not retarded you dumb fat un-popular egoistical bitch.
Cartman yells; Hey, im not un-popular!
New kid: I was joking. You do know that people with aspergers (cartman chuckles) have a hard time getting simple ironic jokes?
Cartman: .. What?

Cartman get nervous and goes to see the nurse at school wich claims he might have it, sends him to a doc wich gives him the diagnose. Cartman gets pissed at first but then he start to use the system to get money etc. Alot of other schoolkids choose to do the same thing as Cartman when they see that he get money from the state due to his disease.

Television brings up the subject and making a huge report about South Park being the city with highest percentage of asperger retards amongst schoolkids in the country.

Cartmans mom starts to feed him by hand and help him off/on with clothes and whatnot. Kenny, Kyle & Stan starts to hang out with Timmy instead claiming he is a much cooler retard than Cartman will ever be with Butters at their side. Cartman knocks Timmy's wheelchair over, while he walk away he says;
I got aspergers, cant help it.

I dunno.. Theres alot of ways to approach it. Im far from funny or good with ideas etc. But i guess the south park people would be able to flip it pretty good.

Cartman definitely has ass-burgers syndrome..all the burgers he eats go right to his ass.

well the AssBurger concept would fit well with that "hell's Kitchen" parody I mentioned in the "shark fins" thread,basically Gordon Ramsey comes to town to do "Hell's Kitchen" and all he does is yells and curses and makes the contestants cook disgusting things like "Shark Fins", "AssBugers","Scorpions" and "rats" and other things,I guess it would be a mixture of "hell's kitchen" and "Fear Factor"..The episode could be called "Heck's Kitchen" just because it would be funny to censor the word "Hell" on a show that say the F-Bomb every episode..

I really don't think there's a way South Park can make fun of the actual disorders for a full episode. Mentions? Maybe. Politics of it? Sure. But I don't think they can do 22 minutes of Cartman/Stan/Kyle/Kenny have Asperger's or Autism. As someone with Asperger's who's taken care of a brother with autism, it just doesn't seem like something that you can make a real show making fun of, especially given the wide spectrum of disorders - no matter what happens, someone's gonna call "bullsh*t."

I will say, Kenny or Butters could qualify for it probably though.

Autistic people aint retarded, Einstein had Autism, So how can u say that autistic people are Retarded??? I have Autism and i think u are a dumb piece a'sh*t :assface: , Maybe they should make an Episode about you, if u want something worse that retarded, and after that they could maybe focus on an episode about autism, it could probably be really fun

He said retardation is WORSE than autism.
