i think it was supposed to be a Christmas episode,
and it was very light-hearted with it's atmosphere,
with a friendly bickering between some of the characters. (i'll save u from the details..)
it just got me thinking how quite complicated these episodes have become, actually.
half the time i don't get what an episode is abt, or what it's trying to say, since i try to avoid news myself, as they get me depressed.
now, i get that SP is a series that follows with the times, and wants to have a say abt relevant things, but there used to be more episodes that were just plain silly, scattered around here and there.. it has a much heavier feel to it as of late. if there's bickering between the characters, it's far from friendly.
i miss episodes like "Fun times with weapons", "Follow that egg" or "Cow Days"!! yes, cow days. these episodes were more abt the boys (or the town..) and less abt the message. of course it's great to have the messages in them, but the delivering of it has become so complicated that i didn't even understand the end of "The Hobbit", and i'm 26 years old. "Let go, let gov" or "Worldwar Zimmerman" i didn't get at all. i just wish the messages weren't the most relevant thing abt the episodes, but the humor. it didn't used to matter if u missed something in the episode because u didn't quite understand it, u were still able to understand most of it, which wasn't the case for me with the two aforementioned episodes.
simple episodes. they were completely gone from this season.
1. Major Boobage
2. Tonsil Trouble
4. Woodland Critter Christmas
Favorite Character: Kyle
Favorite Season: 4
My favorite would probably be Informative Murder Porn, though I also loved the Black Friday trilogy (fitting since my roommate just recently got me into Game of Thrones, lol).
Now here's hoping that Stick of Truth game keeps up with this quality streak they've got going!

IMO I think this is the case here..considering how SP was supposed to end in 2013 this isn't a surprise anymore, its like they are not even trying to give their best.Milo Vonnegut 3 wrote:I think we are all suffering from is, not necassarily from new episodes not being good (they are not that great in MY opinion), but from franchise fatigue.
My best guess is that South park will have like 25 more mixed episodes and they'll end it.
Oh, 30 more episodes.
I don't wanna sound like a know-it-all but I think people mightn't have got the world war z references fully, just how 1 dimensional and cheesy the family in the movie was, it was like rainbows and fairy dust came from those 2 girls ass holes. but not everyones going to have watched world war z so that episode probably didn't have a big audience.
I really really enjoyed the black Friday trilogy and investigative murder porn episodes.
the rest were also pretty good except for the goth kids one which was just boring. I think its unfair people saying goths are too far in the past to make fun of. I think matt n trey wanted to write about some characters who haven't really been explored in depth which were the goth kids. I guess the goth characters are a bit old fashioned now tho, they should've moved onto the next fad which most goth/emo type people do.
I think the worst thing about that episode was the corny ending where it was revealed it was all a reality tv show. it just seemed they couldn't think of a good ending like the crab people.
overall id say this was a good season.
Hopefully there will be better eps in season 18.
What I would like to see though is a return to the Die Hippies Die episode from season 6 somehow, maybe Hippies 2: The Hipster Evolution with a giant parody of the Noah movie to replace The Core reference with a wave of hipsters going to Coachella or something?
