Agreed. I can't stand guys like him. Randy Moss and Chad Johnson are also on my hate-list.
Speaking of Moss. You guys here about the whole battery thing? You think he's guilty?

Re: Football
For once, I am not too sure about it either way.
It wouldn't be the first time Moss had gotten in trouble. Remember the incident when the nudged a traffic cop with his car, trying to make a left turn?
Then again, you have the media, who may be whipping up some kind of dirt just to keep the Pats from trying to go perfect in the playoffs. Anything to make them choke and miss out on a 19-0 season. Just the 18th win would set a new record for season + playoffs.
Sorry, fellas, but I really don't know what to believe this time.

It wouldn't surprise me.

Well, it's Sunday night (Pacific time), and both games have been played. The stage will soon be set in Glendale, Arizona, for the big matchup Feb. 3...
Super Bowl XLII
Patriots and Giants
I was really hoping the Packers would have gotten in, but so it goes.
Who do you like/figure to win? I gotta say Pats.

Tch. The Patriots are probably going to sweep it this year (again). Thing is, I'll never hear the end of this one at school. My family (coming from New York City, my brother and I born there) will probably be arguing with other people (most of the population around here either came over from New York or Boston) right up to the game.
As a Giants fan, I'm rooting for them, but after seeing what happened with the field goal fiasco last night, I'm guessing their chances of winning are slim to none.

^ Don't be too sure about the field-goal problem. Remember, it was extremely cold up there in Lambeau Field, so those balls were probably hard as rocks by the time they were snapped.
You won't find them having that problem in Arizona, that's for sure!
Also, the fact that NYG kept things close in the regular-season finale against NE makes things a little more interesting. We'll just have to see if it stays that way.

f*ck, f*ckity, f*ck, f*ck, f*ck!!
That's all I'm going to say about that game.
For the first time ever, I'm more excited about the frickin' halftime show than the Super Bowl itself. f*ck those east coast teams, but at least Tom Petty is playing halftime. That's my sh*t!

Tom Petty is my homeboy.
Geez, man. First the Red Sox, now most likely the Patriots... all I need is the Celtics and I'm good ta go! (Boston-boy here. If you don't like, eat my clam chowder!)

Man, they've sure got most of the sports covered, if not all.
NFL: Patriots, in Super Bowl
NBA: Celtics, best in league
MLB: Red Sox, 2nd World Series since 2004
MLS: Revolution, made finals
NCAA FB: BC Eagles, great season
NHL: Bruins, only one with work cut out for them.
What am I missing?

Re: Football
^^ Wouldn't that be enough either way?
It is for me.
I actually got to see the Red Sox take on the Diamondbacks in June, and the Pats are going to the seventh lair of Hell-- eh, Arizona as well for the SUPER BOWL! YEAHHHH!
I think the Patriots will win, but I wouldn't doubt a close contest. I saw the Pats take on New York, and it was pretty close. Up until the end, the Patriots were struggling more than the Giants were (it wasn't until the end that Eli choked... and he hasn't been choking since.)
Speaking of who, Archie Manning must be one proud pop. He gets to see both his sons play in the Super Bowl two years in a row!

^ That's gotta be a first, right? Brothers in back-to-back SB's?
Okay, a little Super Bowl trivia:
What are two things that have never been seen when the Super Bowl is played?
A shutout or overtime.

Back-to-back Super Bowl champs, now.
That game was surprisingly entertaining. When Manning evaded that sack in the fourth quarter to complete that pass on third down; that was excellent footballing, right there.
Now the NFC Championship Game stings a little less. Yeah, Green Bay lost, but they lost to the Super Bowl Champs.
And to New England, I say, "Better luck next year, assh*les."

In the words of Dennis Green, "They are who we thought they were!"
Tough break for the Pats, but at least it was an interesting game. Battle of defense, and no really bad calls...at least not a lot of 'em.
Favorite ads? Actually, I'd better put that in a separate thread.
