I listen to this song and "If It Be Your Will" by Leonard Cohen every time I hear that someone I know has died. This time it's my brother's friend's father, who was shot by his girlfriend (who then turned the gun on herself).
These two songs bring me great solace.
Anyone else have any songs of grieving?
In response to Aym:
Grieving songs for me include:
"With a Little Help from my Friends" - The Beatles
"Let it Be" - The Beatles
"Call and Answer" - Barenaked Ladies
"Grave digger" - Dave Mathews Band
And then to cheer me up: "Now You're A Man" -DVDA
