My grief for megavideo has just crossed the denial stage now south park is coming and the site i've watched it on since season 10 is down. The internet is dead :(

Dark post not sure it really fits this thread but I guess it has no topic. Response to all this Kony 2012 stuff (before I say anything else, I'm as hopeful it succeeds as I am my family don't get cancer, it's one of those 'goes without saying' things).

I feel like Hipster Cat for knowing Joseph Koney since the "kill the gays bill" when it had the oposite effect to this campaign; I got less enthused about stopping violence to gays there when I realised how violent everyone seems to be to everyone.

My highschool had a chapter of Amnesty international that campaigned to end genocide in Dafur - by sending letters to the generals saying they were very naughty boys. In English, which they could obviously read. I hope this campaign doesn't end up as silly as that. This guy needs to be caught but as killing Bin Laden shows that won't solve everything, it's a first step. But getting him means sending the army in - an international response. With people so irrate about Iraq and Afghanistan would they do that?

This shows my view on war. In the 'next poster' thread Exile asked if I was a pacifist, and while I'm certainly not going to fight myself I see the rejection of war for ANY purpose as just letting evil grow like nasty bacteria on your insides. The kind of action that WOULD help people, we DON'T fight. The kind that wouldn't, we get involved in. People are sadly getting soured to the idea of interventionism in general, when it's a responsability of people who hog as many resources as us (And by extension get educated and don't kill the gays or use child soldiers).

Now for something almost completely random?
People bitch about the suburbs being safe and boring, but having moved from a villaige to the suburbs around college and seeing things like kids buying candy from the local Tesco at close to midnight or cars going by in earshot, I'm from the suburbs of the suburbs, rural FTW!

I always do that. And the clothes on my bed/chair aren't dirty. It's stuff I wore like once or twice. Too clean to wash, too dirty to put back in closet (or I'm just too lazy to put them back in).
Once every two moths or so, when I'm cleaning up the closet, I sort those clothes. Then the bed/chair is clothes free for few days.

A father notices that his son's computer is on and the computer is still logged into the son's Facebook account. After snooping around, the father makes a post on his son's FB account

I feel violated. And not in the good way. Someone broke into my car last night. (well, I left it unlocked.) They didn't take anything, but they rifled through all my stuff in there. :? Weird.
