Just out of curiosity, what is the nature of college in comparison to school? professors and work wise? any wise tips?

It feels more equal than high school. You are treated like an intelligent adult and not a 'kid,' so much. In that respect it is much, much more enjoyable. But it's also more work, and you want to do it because you've paid for it. Try to get things done right away instead of cramming, because if you start right away you'll probably be able to get it done just before it's due. Yes.

Where I am at least, you are not provided with a locker, but I would recommend having one so that you don't have to lug everything around with you. That sucks. It was only $20.

Sort of generic advice, but I haven't been there taking actual proper classes for too long.

Sounds awesome! i have been wishing to go to college for some time. learn something i actually enjoy and not be treated like a different species..

Yes. It is very refreshing. I pay more attention when I am able to have a casual conversation with an instructor. Less one-way kind of thing.

I have tutors for literally every subject because i hate them so much, nothing goes in!

I was the same way. Totally different now. Learning environment is not toxic = big difference.

Nothing I can think of right away that's worse than high school. Hell, we even got a free pancake breakfast (with free condoms)!

But I'm thinking. Well, the campus is bigger. And if you're getting campus lodging, the roommates might suck. I do not live on campus, so I don't know.

my parents are actually baffled that i am so exited to go into college and busting to get the hell out of school. they don't seem to get it at all... did that happen in your transition from school to college?

Not really. It was a longer transition for me, actually, I had a gap year. But I was told on all fronts that college was better than school.

....believe it or not but the time/period/gap it takes when you graduate till you actually get into college will be intolerable for me.
