Re: The Randome Thread: Real Conversations Start Here!
Good news everybody! I think I'm on the other side of the bell curve. I'm only experiencing occasional back and or knee pain. I can also stand and walk for a longer periods of time now. Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll be good. Also, I do have a doctors appointment tomorrow. So we'll see how that goes.

Well, it seems there's nothing new in Hot Topics since nearly two weeks ago. I'm feeling worried. Even worse, the U.S. version of these forums has suffered massive slowdowns. Have the same slowdowns happened to you?

Still the same as it ever was.

What are you worried about Deb? Your probably real cute so you shouldn’t be upset about anything. I haven’t seen any trouble with the US South Park site at all yesterday or today. Perhaps something is wrong with your computer like a virus or maybe it’s your internet. I got an Ad virus once that really slowed down my computer. It has more Ads then normal popup when a new screen is loaded. You might want to let Best Buy check out your PC for a week or two. That may be like $500 though. Maybe just buy a new computer? Or your router may be dying. You have to get a new one like every 5 years usually.

It's actually the newest version of Google Chrome (Version 50) that made this website so slow. Maybe I should try another browser and see.JamesPup wrote:What are you worried about Deb? Why not update to windows 10? It has Microsoft Edge and it works well for me. I have firefox too for school work as IE and Edge don't work right with online tests and the like. Well I'm glad you are okay Debbie, you do have people that like you here. Still make sure you have people that care about you in the real world too as they are the most important.

Thanks. And BTW, these US forums load fast in Internet Explorer on Windows 8.1, so that's a plus for me.JamesPup wrote:Why not update to windows 10? It has Microsoft Edge and it works well for me. So I have started to eat more fruit in the morning and for lunch. Like I have a coffee and a banana and an apple for breakfast and a banana and apple and water for lunch now. I had started to feel weird but I think it was all those Starbucks energy drinks I was having at college. Still I am eating better now than having a donut and pizza every day.
Also My dad and I are looking for a new place. The owner of my house that I rent died of cancer and so we need to et a new place. So I will have to be in a small like 700 to 900 foot apartment soon. The rent will be like $1020 to $1120 a month and that is better than the current rent of $1450 a month but rate now I'm at a house and lots of room and really not too noise with neighbors like an apartment does.
I have my last class this semester May 17th and then summer class starts like the 14th of June so I will have some sweet time to read up of some comic books I didn't have time to read. Also I will be playing lots of Pokémon trading card game online.

The newest thing is the announcement of more info and a new trailer for The Fractured But Whole. Other than that I don't think there is anything new.mo303564 wrote:So....I haven't been on this thread in like 4 months! Anything new??![]()

Re: The Randome Thread: Real Conversations Start Here!
My back has not gotten any better in the last couple of months. I decided to have surgery to fix it. I figured it'd be better to have my back specialist go in there and remove the protruding part of the disc so that pinched nerve bundle can get some relief. Turns out it can take 12-18 months for that part of the disc to metabolize, and A) I'm so sick of this f*cking on-off-on-off pain that I can't wait that long, and 2) there's a constant slight numbness to my leg that isn't subsiding and I don't want to incur any nerve damage from it. I go in Monday morning (5am
) and I'm nervous as hell. I've had so many people tell me not to have surgery because someone they knew had it, and they were "never the same", or the pain never went away, or something of the like. The Doctor has set me at ease about it a few times, but I just can't get over that worry. I also think about how (locally sports-caster) Norm Hitzges and Bono have both had back surgery and Bono recovered fine, but Norm had nerve damage from it. (I think his was way more invasive. like some sort of tumor that had actually grown around a nerve bundle.) IDK. It seems like such a crap-shoot at times. The doctor's put me at ease a couple of times, but.. it me... worry-wort McGee.

Re: The Randome Thread: Real Conversations Start Here!
Wow Bug you still got that bad back! I can’t believe you have still been fighting this without having surgery this long. I say have the surgery as it has shown you it will not go away. I don’t know what you mean by metabolize, is that it healing after surgery or how long it could take without surgery to heal? I hope after the surgery that it is has no pain and you are all better with no future issues.
I think all you will have is an inch incision but I was nervous before I had my surgery and it is a lot tougher the day of it and when you are in the hospital clothes and in the bed. It’s that they put an IV into your arm and then you black out and the next thing will be its all over and no pain but a scar. Have a family member bring you there too as you will be too drugged up after to drive.

Okay, so surgery happened. Theres the obvious pain of having been cut on to deal with. theres still soreness around the vertebre as things are healing. its hard to find a comfortable position to sleep in on my stupid fvcking marshmallow of a bed. As a result, my neck is very stiff. im getting a little worried now b/c im getting soreness in my right thigh the way i got it in my left leg when this all started. i hope i havent either re-injured myself in a day, or made it worse.
James, usually when a disc slips, the part that sticks out will be absorbed by the body. mine was so severe that it would take many months. so i opted for surgery. and yes, im glad i have my dad to fall on for help in situations like this.
