This was from one album where Eddie Van Halen played bass.

Not to sound like an overzealous fanboy, but Hagar ruined Van Halen. And Eddie Van Halen playing Bass? No No No No No. Listen to this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=toP4UtQZiw8

I liked Hagar's work with Van Halen. Hell, I liked Van Halen with Hagar! (Don't get me wrong. David Lee Roth's a great showman, but Hagar brought a sense of musicianship that you normally don't see from a fronthman. I mean the guy could play guitar!) In my opinion, the guy who came after Hagar ruined Van Halen. (His name escapes me, but you know who I'm talking about.) As for EVH sitting in and playing bass, a lot of people have done that. He's not the first to be a session player on somebody's stuff and he certainly won't be the last. Having said that, PUT HIM ON GUITAR! (But I do see what was probably Hagar's reasoning: "This is a Sammy Hagar album, not a Van Halen album. Eddie, if you wanna play on the record, you're gonna have to play bass.")

Now then...Here's a song about witnessing a Space Shuttle launch for the first time. It's Rush with "Countdown," from their 1982 album Signals.

Ok I got a question. I am currently listening to my favorite AC/DC song, Thunderstruck. Which album is it on? Seriously, I don't know. Can't find it anywhere and AC/DC is not on iTunes.

Answer: The Razor's Edge, released in 1990. (Had to look it up on Wikipedia for confirmation.)

By the way, "Thunderstruck" is a great song.

The Cure is my favorite 80s band. Their music always makes me happy and reminds me of the good things in life. Plus I'm very fond of Robert Smith's style. I love his messy backcombed rats nest hair and smudged red lipstick.

Well then here, enjoy Lullaby. I was gonna post The Walk, but I can't find a good non-live version of it.

There's some 80's song I've been wanting to find again for a while now. I don't know who did it, or even remember much of the lyrics. All I remember is that the lyrics sounded like they came from Midnight Oil, and the backing track sounded like something the Egyptian Lover came up with. :/ Main reason I"m looking for it is that I think it'd sound cool mashed up with Fischerspooner's Natural Disaster.

Guns n' Roses is one of my faves from the 80's. And this is my fave song by them. All we need is just a little patience... 8)

Rush is great (Alex killed himself in this weeks ep!), and Neil Peart is a God on drums.

YYZ live with amazing drum solo
