- The Divinyls.
- Cyndi Lauper.
- Madonna (shutup, she was good back then).
- Dexy's Midnight Runners, or whatever they're called- I just like the "Come on Elieen" song by them.
- Blondie.
- Dead or Alive.

I would have to agree on seven of them, although the Divinyls did have one catchy tune.

Anyone ever hear this one?

John Farnham, "You're the Voice"

Mate "You're The Voice" was huge here in Australia...........John(Jonny) Farnham is considered a national treasure to anyone born here before 1978.....He played at the closing ceremony of the Sydney Olympics with another '80's great Midnight Oil(whose lead singer Peter Garrett is now our Minister for the Environment,Heritage & the Arts....for o/s trivia buffs) :D
"You like bear mace,icehead?"

"A haiku is just like a normal American poem except it doesn't rhyme and it's totally stupid."

"Oh no! Not Santa's balls!"

"Dammit, monster, I ain't givin you no treefiddy."

Sure do...Mate they were massive over here in the 80's & 90's...Easily as big as INXS & Crowded House. :)

Here's another couple of bands that were big in the 80's & still around now;Hoodoo Gurus & Radio Birdman(they may have started in the 70's though!) :D

Hey, the B52's have a new single out called Funplex on iTunes. Just you know, if anyone's interested. It kind of sounds more like their stuff from the 90's to me.

Not sure if it's 80's, but you gotta love This track. God the video's funny too.

Wish I'd lived in the time of good songs and great pixelated games too... children of the 90's miss so much!

Sweet Dreams is a good one, but my favorite cut off that album is Paint A Rumour. Shame there's not a good version of it on YouTube.

Trivia time!

Billy Idol is known for "Dancing With Myself," among other big singles, but did you know that he also recorded that song in '81 with his old band, Generation X, before going solo?

Yep, we've got the vinyl round here somewhere!
