Before Sixpence None the Richer made the charts with their cover of "There She Goes", there was this version from 1988, which I believe is much better.

Okay, so apparently, some few months after the original "Big in Japan" was recorded and released by Alphaville ('84), a young woman named Sandra Cretu did a German language version called "Japan ist weit."

What surprises me is that this cover might be the best of the bunch!

A former vocalist for the 70s and 80s band 'The Cars' died in 2000 at only 53. He released this solo single in 1986.
