(nearly) 25 years later, and the lyrics ring truer than ever.
Kate Bush - Deeper Understanding (original mix)
Just for fun, here's the newer version with vid.

Never thought I'd hear this again, but it was on the XM station a few days ago:

Re: '80's Music
ARRRRGHHH! It's been so long, and I have 80's blue-balls. I want to post my whole favorites folder from YT... but I wont. Here's some highlights.
RAF - Self Control
Dollar - Videotheque
Berlin - Tell Me Why (early demo version I heard on U80's)
An alternate mix of Tears for Fears' Suffer The Children
And
An alternate mix of Tears for Fears' Everybody Wants to Rule the World
I can't tell if this is a genuine 80's super-extendoid remix, or something someone did a few years ago. In either case it's awesome.

This song was put in my head again after watching the Psych finale last night:
Oingo Boingo - "We Close Our Eyes," '87

Re: '80's Music
Don't remind me...

Since I posted the wonderfully chill cover of it yesterday, here's the original...
Robert Palmer - Johnny and Mary
Well, it's the original version of the song. The original video is a little... odd. Aw, and there's a vid for Looking for Clues that's completely cray, but in an awesome way.

Re: '80's Music
And now for some awesome weirdness.
Thick Pigeon - Babcock + Wilcox
Absolute Body Control - Is There an Exit
Lou Champagne System - Selling So Sweet
Now, I have 2 copies of Naked Eyes' first album. I have no idea which is from where, but there are alternate versions of certain songs on them. Most notably is 'Always Something There to Remind Me'.
This is the version we all know. At least it's the one I always hear on the radio.
This is the 'alternate version' that I discovered.
And I only recently discovered that it's actually a cover, originally written by Burt Bacharach and sung by Dionne Warwick

Re: '80's Music
Link dump!
That super long remix of Everybody Wants to Rule The World has been running through my head again lately.
Mkay, we have some Missing Persons - Give, Experimental Products - Mannequin, Platinum Blonde - Take It From Me, and The Electronic Circus - Direct Lines
Special Mention: Rick James vs Falco - Der Superfreak a MattPop mashup
Extra-super-double hand-crafted Platinum edition special mention: a cool vid recut to Tones on Tail - Go! (Club Mix).

Re: '80's Music
(not sure if he still has a downloadable version of that available, but I've got one if you want me to send it your way.)
It's funny, I've spent a bunch of money lately downloading a bunch of music... but I'm rediscovering an album I've had for almost a year now. Freur's Doot-Doot. Besides the original tracks of Doot Doot, All Too Much, and My Room that made me want to download it in the first place, I've rediscovered and fallen in love with Matters of the Heart, and Riders in the Night is just an awesome jam.
