What's up? Value added tax starting today is 25%. Third highest in Europe. That means prices will probably go up.
In other news, my salary has gone up... about 5%. Not enough.

In America, as the top tax rate for the rich has gone down, and corporate tax rates have also gone down (and with loopholes, the top 30 corporations pay almost nothing, and some even get money BACK from the government), they have filled the hole with cuts, but also raises in other taxes, taxes that hurt the poor and middle class. Payroll, sales tax, etc.

Rich get their lower taxes they go on and on about, and raise everyone else's taxes. It's such BS how people here still vote for the fucking Republicans.

Glad you have a job, shame it sounds like it sucks for you so far. Makes me not wanna complain about anything!

Value added tax

VAT is basically sales tax. Is a conservative style 'flat' tax independant of how much you earn, so takes a higher % of the income of poor people, even ignoring the fact they spend more of their money and it's a tax on consumption (always a bad way to stimulate demand!). If i recal Thatcher supported VAT, says almost all I need to know. Higher taxes are in themselves a BAD thing and we can't forget that - but that can easilly be countered enough for taxes to be worth fighting for by the good stuff spending can do, but again not all spending is good, as not all taxes are.

Rich get their lower taxes they go on and on about, and raise everyone else's taxes. I

Not just a US problem, though it's worse where you are. The main benefit of other nations isn't taxes, but how the money's spent.

Today, I did the major part of my homework.

I hate to keep harping on about it but I've finished my last report for a few weeks. We always seem to have stuff due in the middle of the semester and the end. I always panic like a mad panicky person at those times. I feel confident about this for once, I could type stuff without even looking at my notes.

I'm watching someone else play a video game i don't even like, minecraft, which is obscenely popular among geeky people on my course and in internetland. I feel out of place by not being geeky enough to fit in!

I'm going home for the weekend i think after lab which ends at 6 pm i got to clean my room first as my parents are coming here
AND BY THE WAY, I WIN

Ah, I was at work at that time. Was it the Amy/Rob thread I just found? Doesn't matter if it was. What's Up? I liked interning in immigration law much better than family law and I also don't like filling out fee waivers for ppl who can't afford filing fees. Not the type of law I'm interested in.

Aaaw... I always stress out when I have a lot of work to do.
It is really annoying, and on top of that I'm too lazy to do them, what's not pleasant at all.

What's up: I had a strange dream... The same type of dreams I usually have _as yesterday_ but with some differences.
(I had angel wings, and I was a man...)
Apart from that, the week-end is close, so is the end of my holidays.
There is a baby at home; bad news!!! It screams and cries so f*cking loud! It sounds as if it laughed but it cries....that's why I hate children, really.
(At least I know what I don't want to do when I'll be older).

I didn't go out today and I turned in early because I was so tired. Had a hard day at work. Thank science it's friday! I usually don't get overly excited about it like some people (that's really annoying), but this has been a grueling week.
It's now 4:39 and I can't sleep anymore.
Where is everybody?

I love it how if you point it out to be unfair, Republicans call you a Socialist, or even worse, a Commie.
Is it just me or has fear of Communism made US the most rigth wing country in the western world?

You're right Mamont! Only been two days and it feels awful. Time doesn't fly when you work... But I get money and right now, that is about the only thing worth it. Hopefully it will get better when the store OPENS and the "temp" shitheads leave.

So with that, I go to bed. I have to work the afternoon shift tomorrow. joy.

Whats up?.....

Bad night with mom, and her new meds, making her very unsteady on her feet (Not long got back from the out of hours doc), and blood test needed on Monday, as the new meds appear to be playing hell with her other treatments.

Also, mom's disability scooter is fecked, after a part on the steering snapped clean off (Section in question, is almost a 100% match, as to how a front fork assembly is on a bike, except for a Tiller arm going to the front wheels), and trying to get a replacement part is near enough impossible, but I have a few places left yet I can try.
