I don't know! xD

Depends on whether or not you say it with an accent or not. :)

Juice for me is pronounced like "Jew" and then adding a quick "hissing sound" with your teeth at the end of it. So it ends up sounding like "Jew-ss"

Ah ok, I thought that. :D

C'est parfait, avec mon accent pourri que j'utilise quasiment jamais, j'aurai au moins une idée de la prononciation d'un mot. Ouf!

Well, I precise the last sentence, in French, isn't important. I just speak to myself.

Well, All I got out of that was something about an accent and pronouncing something. lol I really need to learn other languages.

And I hope you don't mind me asking, but did you mean "The way I prounounce the last sentence, in French, isn't important?" I kinda don't fully understand.

I loove speaking French: few people understand me.
Hm, hm, no, no, I'm joking.

Well, uh, the translation, since you seem curious:

"It's perfect, with my bad accent which I almost use never, I gonna have an idea of one pronunciation's word. Phew! "

what gets me is how, to me at least, Every language except for English has their words backwards (Or English is backwards and everyone else has it right.)

In English, when something is of the red color (like a car) you say, "That's a red car"

But in most other languages (I took Spanish freshman year of high school) you describe the color after the object. So you would say "That's a car red" in other languages.

I find it intriguing actually. Other languages interest me, but I just don't find actually taking the time to learn the languages very interesting! :D

In French also.

Example in English you say: "He has red hair"
and in French: "He has hair red" :)

"red" is said in two ways in French:
_ "rouge" is the general color
_"roux" for hair, hairs and gingers ("un roux")

This was a lesson of French.

So how do you pronounce Rouge, and Roux?

Is rouge pronounced like "Roosch" but with more of a "J" sound during the "sch" like it is when pronouncing the town of "Baton Rouge, Louisiana"?

I have no idea how to pronounce Roux.

Aaah! You know, French pronunciation doesn't look like English pronunciation at all. (except "Pee" which pronounces like the French translation "Pipi" because in French, we pronounce "i" in "ee")

However, you can hear in "Google translation", can't you?

Oh my god I would be so confused lol. I found a good translation. It sounds kinda like "ah-oosch"

Very odd, considering the letter R isn't prevalent in the pronunciation.

And I can't find any good ones of Roux :?

so Roux is pronounced Roo? Man. I really need a French teacher right about now.

I actually wish that they would start teaching a second language in the U.S. early on. It would make things so much easier. :cartmansmirk: Although I'm pretty sure since there's such a large French population in Louisiana, they do teach French in school there. I had a friend come up during hurricane Katrina that knew quite a bit of French. It was pretty neat. :D

Yeah "Roo" but the "R" in French hasn't the same pronunciation.

I've used the Chat option twice. Once there was a person on there to speak to. The second time, there was no one. :(
