You can always edit your previous post? My schools *always* got new wings JUST after I left. They did the building work in the last year of both my primary schools my middle school (on a new gym with indoor beach vollyball court when it was right by the sea anyway!) and my highschool (new library and sixth form area). Nothing in any of the towns I live in has chanced recently, except a bunch of stores in colchester closing and it turning into a boards on the windows ghost town.

I wish I knew more about the history of england, how it came to be a country, etc, everyone knows how the USA was formed but we don't have such a strong birth of a nation story at least not one that's taught as much or mythologized as much. we need one lol.

Every evolution lecture I've had so far, my professor's phone has gone off in class. We swap lecturer a lot, every time we get to a new topic we get a new one - we just finished with one in one class, and she started teaching another topic in another class!

We're startin' to get into severe Randome Thread territory here. Can we dial it back just a tad, please? I'd like to see this one stay more win-y than randome-y.

Bug: This thread has been around for like....6 or 7 years, and most of the posts on this thread are either about "Winning" or of "randomness"....It goes back and forth so much that this basically is a random thread of winning. :o

The only difference about this thread is that everyone wants to be that "last" poster....so that we win! But it gets so boring at times that well, we discuss sh*t just to keep it proper and present.

The whole concept of this thread is retarded. It has been a random thread since the month is was created. I even advocated rescuing the random thread a long time ago. That is why Will renamed it "Real conversations start here!".
I have been here since January 2005 with another name. I have seniority. (.__. )

Plants stuff their pollen everywhere, all those kids who get allergies because of pollen have plant sperm in their lungs. Flowers deep throat kids :I

Who said randomness was the antithesis of win?
With this many posts, no matter how random the individual posters may be the aggregate outcome will be orderly, law of large numbers style :(
All threads that go on long enough evolve, selection for something not so boring is strong...or they die for a while then get necrod when the boredom has abated.

You give me the idea to be random, by winning in the random thread though, which i might be doubly random by not doing :I

I even advocated rescuing the random thread a long time ago

you don't need to rescue what isn't in danger. It's not like the forum only needs one linear string of messages per day to get by, having multiple streams of interaction can be beneficial. Though I maintain winning is worth it, why do we do anything except for futile pointless temporary wins that nonetheless feel like epic win :I

..."Ranome-y" has been what this thread has been for years. And it's better that way.

*Steals metaphor from 1970s Dawkins, runs with it into situations it wasn't intended for*

The SPS is a parallel processor with multiple cores (the random thread, win thread, what's up, etc) allowing us to have multiple conversations at once!

But a virtual machine of a parallel processes on the serial processes that is one thread, the win thread, allows us to win and be random at the same time.

I need to eat less processed chicken lest I OD on it and die a death so horrible none will speak it's name. I hear vitamin C can give you kidney stones, I don't want to eat too many fruit with it just in case, but don't want gum problems either, why you have to require balance nature XD
