Why always chicken dinner? Why couldn't it be beef dinner or salad dinner or... ice cream dinner?

From answers.com:
A popular story about the origin of this phrase is that in Las Vegas you could get a nice chicken dinner for less than $2.00. Since winning an average bet would make you over $2.00, the two were equated as being approximately the same value. If you won, you could buy a chicken dinner, and I'm sure that the rhyming factor didn't hurt for people who were rubbing in their win.
Thus the phrase "Winner, winner, chicken dinner" was born.

As Mark Twain said: "... There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics. If my neighbor ate chicken for lunch, and I did not have dinner, the statistics said that each of us ate for lunch a half chicken ... "

Okay, but the phrase is getting old (older than Stan). It's time for a new one. Winner, winner, ice cream dinner! Because ice cream > chicken.
Oh, and I win for all eternity and beyond.

Why not "Winner, winner, plate of Kraft Dinner"?
