I just watched the preview clip, and I got a "Grapes of Wrath" vibe. Did anyone else see this? Like in "Grapes of Wrath," the Joad family packs up all their stuff and moves west to California for a better life. Could it be another parody like we just had last week?

i thought more of Beverly hillbillies, kinda, but now i completely see what you mean. and people seem to think "whatever it is that makes you happy, resides there and there is enough for everyone" lol cali that is.

I figured it would be a Grapes of Wrath parody. A Beverley Hillbillies parody would work better with the McCormicks. There might be an environmental message. Randy may end up being a logger cutting down the redwoods.

I love the way you think, mdub. Of all people it would be randy to consider loss of the internet to be a life or death situation...
Listen. Listen! We finished running the tests.

Stan episode? And life without Internet?

My Win-Radar is going off.

Preview leaves the 1949 gold rush feeling, and I know Kyle will chase after Stan. Looking forward already.

Why thank you iheartstansdad. Randy is always first to overreact in a hilarious manner to some overblown threat to the town, as in "Two Days Before the Day After Tomorrow." So I expect this episode to be pretty good, especially if I'm right about the "Grapes of Wrath" homage. Oh, and I <3 Randy too! lol

I just pray they don't do a Beverly Hillbillies theme parody.

Grapes of Wrath is exactly what i thought of when i first read about this episode. Could be pretty funny to watch Randy freak out about the internet going down

If Stan or Randy react like I do without internet, this'll be in my top 10.

I react with swearing and rage. 28 weeks later rage.

like other people have said, this is definitely gong to be a gold rush theme, or grapes of wrath. it sounds like a great premise with no popular culture reference (woo hoo!) i just hope to god they don't botch a perfectly good randy episode like they did with MoreCrap

Kyle: Why? How could you do this? There are people starving in Alabama and you give Cartman a million dollars?

Cartman: Line? Lines! I HATE LINES!!!
