Hmm, I'm not sure what to think about this one. I'm glad that it doesn't seem like a direct spoof, but it's too early to tell if that's a good thing or not.

Re: *1302: The Coon* Pre-Air Discussion
This has potential to be really good, but also potential to be really bad. Let's just keep our hopes up.
So, unless I'm WAY too tired from staying up for this press release and preview clip, it looks like they'll be spoofing Batman and probably The Dark Knight specifically (I'm too tired to be able to tell.) I certainly hope they do a good job, but please don't be too direct about it.
That's all I have to say. I'll come back into this discussion some time tomorrow when I'm not too groggy to actually discuss.

It's Cartman after all butters is already Professor Chaos.
Re: *1302: The Coon* Pre-Air Discussion
Can't wait to see it. Thanks for the heads up, nall!
Re: *1302: The Coon* Pre-Air Discussion
Might be a response to the new Watchmen movie?
I'm interested to see what direction this episode is going to go in. Might also be a good opportunity for Professor Chaos to make an appearance.

^I haven't seen the Watchmen so I have no idea
It would be cool if the Coon was Butters and the other person was Prof Chaos.

I'm not sure what to think about this episode. When I first read the description and saw the clip, I pulled a "...Really?". After thinking about it though, it might be better than I think.
I /hope/ it's better than I think.

Re: *1302: The Coon* Pre-Air Discussion
I think this'll be like Lice Capades; an episode I love a lot, that others don't as much.
Or it'll be mutually considered one of their best. But not in that douchebaggy, lazy-ass way that so many fans seem to see it; as if MnT are grovelling at our feet, trying to meet our every demand. As if we 'deserve' to get fat and have a show do all the work for us. Anyways, done venting!
Is it a reference to Sin City and Watchmen and all those stylized hero movies?
And shows like The Tick, and The Maxx?
I love how mysterious the preview pictures are
I bet its Butters too
, though it'd be neat to be surprised. Though I'm sure I will be.
Time to try and watch the preview clip!

Re: *1302: The Coon* Pre-Air Discussion
Ok, so this sounds very very interesting. They got the mystery and intrigue spiked up for this one. Even the press images don't show very much. My predictions:
The Coon is Cartman. And Mysterion has gotta be Butters. In which case the people who constantly claim that the Butters/Cartman dispute is getting old will not be getting any solace.
But in any case, it's South Park... I'm pumped.
