Kanye's song

Postby JimmyBuffet » Fri Apr 10, 2009 11:55 pm

I've been so lonely girl
I've been so sad and down
couldnt no understand why haters joked around
i wannted to be free without the creatures like me
and now i got my wish
cause I know that I'm a gay fish

gay fish
gay fish ,yo
motherfucking gay fish
I'm a fish, yo
going on a gay fate
its alright, girl
making love to other gay fish

all those lonely nights at the grocery store
in the frozen fish-outfit and like a whore
cause i wasnt be a true and so everyone said
that I had to make a switch (gay fish)
Know I know that I'm a gay fish (gay fish)

gay fish
gay fish ,yo
motherfucking gay fish
ah, I'm a fish, yo
going on a gay fish
now where I belong, girl
making love to other gay fish

I used to be scared denying who I was
acting straight, but then going out to the gay fish-clubs
dancing with the marlins making out with all the snappers
I take a salmon home and work that cuttle-fin for hours
But now I'm out and I'm free to love what I want
Being yellowfin, or bass or damn trout in vermont
I slapped that hauling ass make that groper-butt shake
I'll come to your house and have an orgy in your motherfucking fishtank

fatherfucking gay fish
ah, I'm a fish, yo
going on a gay fish
ish, now where I belong, girl
making love to other gay fish

I really get around I'm a slut of the sea
when I say I've got crabs I mean it literaly
I was eating dinner it just had to go down
on that nacre on the dish
cause I'm the gayest till the gay fish

gay fish
motherfucking gay fish
ah, I'm a fish, yo
going on a gay fish
ish, now where I belong, girl

But I got to settle down I cant be a whore
I aint go to just sleep with any fish no more
I found me a lover, a brother whos a across dressing pike, named trish
and together we are gay fish

gay fish
gay fish ,yo
motherfucking gay fish
ah, I'm a fish, yo
going on a gay fish
now where I belong, girl
making love to other gay fish

Favorite episode I've seen in a long time. Just f*ckin fantastic and hilarious. I am so happy they went after Carlos Mencia, that unfunny thieving fake little sh*t, and also Kanye, the egotistical retard.

Just top-notch all around. South Park is f*ckin genius.

Amazing episode, the past 3 south park episodes actually made me laugh out loud, and South Park hasn't made me laugh out loud for a long time. Amazing, and the Gay Fish song is simply badass.

This episode was okay.

The story-line with the boys was hilarious.
but the Kanye West/Carlos Mencia thing was only sometimes funny.

And when Kanye killed Carlos, eww.
Was that really necessary?

Kanye did what he felt was right. Kanye wanted answers, not to be told that "you're a gay fish."

OK, I'll be Simon here and say...7.9 on a 1-to-10 scale for S13E05. Middling. Still no standouts among the first 5 in season 13, IMO, though also no duds.

(My 2 faves in recent years, BTW, have been "Overlogging" and "Make Love Not Warcraft")

Kanye West is undeniably full of himself but does not rise to the level of stardom to merit a single-plot-thread SP episode, so I think you inadvertently fed his ego.

The concept was also a bit "thin." I think the Jonas Brothers thing worked better because the mouse character and sub-themes made the episode "about" a lot more than just them.

To dearest Matt Stone and Trey Parker,
(truly hope this reaches you guys one day)

Re: Fishsticks

I sit here, particularly in a state of absolute catatonic hysteria, that I'm typing this with my nose.

I would like to congratulate you, personally.... yes... from myself... f#@k the rest of the other people on this planet.... myself, for impressing upon me the sense of humor that can only be measured by one's amount of laughter coming from one's lungs, enough that would induce a miniature stroke. This was that episode.

Thanks for breaking that barrier of conventional humor that I so longed to see breached.

Regards,

A Eternal Fan out of a global trillian.

Now, the issue is as they go back to their immature plotlines, they don't have that same comedic pacing. Instead of getting lost in scenes due to how many jokes you could pay attention to, you are faced with weak plots and weak jokes. That is what people really mean when they refer to season one- the pace of the show, not what happens.

Well it depends on who's saying it. Some people probably mean it like that, but a lot literally say, "go back to the roots!" as in bring old characters and story lines back. Others also say that the old episodes were more mature and now they're just getting stupid like a giant Mickey Mouse, so I just compare the plots.

As for the comedic pacing... well it's basically just saying the show needs to make me laugh more and the thing is that's so much easier to do in season 1 rather than season 13. People need to realize Matt and Trey can't bring back the old comedic pacing because after 13 years they don't have enough jokes to do that. It makes no sense to just say be funnier in season 13 when you're running out of ideas and your getting old than you were in season 1 when you had all the ideas, no pressure, and you were at the prime of your life.

1- The difference there is that, let us say, a giant Barbara Streisand was used as part of a Godzilla parody. The giant Mickey Mouse...was just a giant Mickey Mouse. I didn't mind it, but honestly, the comparison is rather weak as one was used as part of a plot and the other was just a WTF joke.

2- Not an excuse when you are getting tens of millions of dollars to produce 14 episodes a season. The issue is not they have less jokes, but rather that the jokes and plots themselves can be lazier. They can also be a lot stronger(see #1303), but basially, when the shot misses, it misses.
That's how it's down here on the farm!

You know, in a strange way, this episode could actually be applied to certain SP viewers. I've seen an awful lot of posts (not just for this week) where people see an episode that they don't get or didn't think was funny and they immediately bemoan the fact that SP isn't funny at all any more.

Has it occured to some of you that your single opinion of an ep isn't the signal for how the show is doing as a whole? I'm not saying you shouldn't voice if you liked an episode or hated it - in fact, I think that's exactly what should be done - but why is it always the end of the genius of the show if you didn't think something was funny? Just once I'd like to see someone say, "Well, I didn't think this was very funny, but maybe next week will be better." It's always an apocoliptic scenario.

Sometimes an ep can just be OK. I happened to think this one was OK+ But that's just me and I don't think my opinion of Fishsticks is a reflection of the worth of the season or the show as a whole.
