I only know that they found something to poke fun at that they thought we'd all like, and for the most part they were right. As to what they really feel? Well, when they do the commentary for the DVD, then maybe we'll see. You could be right, but you could be wrong. Wait before you go blowing your wad all over the internet, in case they come out later in favor of Beck.
You probably believe Stephen Colbert is really a conservative posing as a liberal posing as a conservative...
I agree, komninosm, awesome.
Thanks. Sadly as you can see in this thread I wasn't making this up, these morons do exist that believe Stephen Colbert is really a conservative posing as a liberal posing as a conservative... and other stupid stuff like that.

Oh, I know. They did a study, if I remember correctly. Many of the far-right wingers believe that and think Liberals are too ignorant to see the "satire"....
Yeah, we do. And it's not what they think.

That being said, I strongly disagree with Obama's policies myself.
Agreed, except the last sentence.

Re: *1313: Dances with Smurfs* Post-Air Discussion
I was really enjoying this years episodes, especially the Somali Pirates. But this episode was sad. I am sorry this one was made, as I am sure that they could come up with some better subject matter than what they did. Maybe if they satired the balloon boy, or NASA's water finding LCROSS probe...
The story (which was lacking in every way possible) was all over the place, and throwing in smurfs made no sense what so ever. I also was very disturbed listening to a gunman come into the school and execute a boy on the radio. I should have known that this would be am abysmal failure if that was the opening joke.
The only part that was enjoyable was when Wendy countered Cartman's insanity with her own. But I guess you don't always get a winner all the time.
Do better next time.

I don't think the opening scene was supposed to be a joke. It was just a clever (though shocking) way to remove the announcer to make room for Cartman. The show does have dramatic moments in some episodes that are not intended to be funny.
I rank this episode in the top half of quality for the season! SNL also satirized Glenn Beck in their latest episode, and both shows deserve kudos for their portrayal.

Yeah, that first part was disturbing, but it served well enough as a build-up to the main story.

Pretty good episode. I agree the beginning was a bit disturbing, but the end was cool and most of it was funny. Kenny had no lines though

9/10
Very, very good episode. Had a lot of Cartman, it was funny, and you could still laugh without really getting the parody (I did, but I'm just saying)

What are you smoking? Do you think the balloon boy or NASA's mission is more important than the social effect of people being lied to by douches and falling for it because of serious lack in critical thinking? Balloon boy is semi-covered in this too (in a way) and I dare you to make your case about NASA. I bet you are one of those people who think it's wasted money and you diss science in general. Could be wrong though.
The story was fine unless you're a douche. Smurfs make no sense, but a talking turd and towel do? What about Kenny dying every episode and appearing alive in the next? People die all the time, horribly. This show isn't based on realism and verisimilitude, quite the contrary. Have you not been paying attention the last decade?
Re: *1313: Dances with Smurfs* Post-Air Discussion
I am starting to feel sorry for Cartman and I hope he gets revenge on Wendy in the style of that Scott Tenorman must die epsisode (just not as extreme as that though) as it seems Cartman has gone downhill since that episode and turned wimpy.
Apart from that it was a brilliant episode.
