Remember how big MySpace was back in the day, though? Nowadays, nobody I know even uses it, nor do I ever hear its name.

I have a Facebook, but I seldom, if ever, use it, despite having a list of about 100 friends, family, and former co-workers and classmates. I don't doubt that many of the rumors and statements about FB keeping, using, and revealing your information, photos, and friends are true, but that's not to say I'm really concerned about it.

Before I start off on what I like, let me say this: THis internet culture plot/reference sh*t needs to stop at some point. It isn't about alienating, it is about the fact that it gets boring.

The thing about Internet parodies is that, for them to work, everyone has to understand the reference. But if that's the case, it's already a cliche.

The mp3-downloading satire was years old and by the time SP did it - the same show that brought Christmas in Canada to the air four days after Saddam Hussein was apprehended.

The downloading episode was more viable of an idea as it was a big deal in the news as well and continued to be. Social Networking is a thing, but not a deal, if that makes any sense. I still think the episode will be good, I just am somewhat sick of ideas that involve things from the internet.

I agree, but the internet is what defines current events and social culture today, and it's still in a relatively primitive state. You can buy groceries, find old car parts, sell your furniture, check your mail, rent movies, read books, listen to music, talk to friends, and do your homework all in one place. It's bound to find its way into the plot of several more episodes.

I'm not sure. Even though I think he is extremely entertaining I think people have ripped on him enough. If he really isn't trolling he's obviously pretty messed up. I guess if they really feature him in an episode it will be the 200th one which - I don't know, I just guess- is probably going to be the one in which they make fun of people who got pissed off at South Park. I even thought for a second or so that Kyle's bad choice of a "facebook-friend"might be Coppercab, but no, that would probably be too cruel.
I can't say much about the premise of this episode, it could turn out really great, but it could also be lame. I just hope they focus on the characters and being funny instead of just parodying Tron for the entire 22 minutes. I'm still looking ahead to Thursday. (It's already Wednesday afternoon in my country).

I also find it somewhat funny there are so many people bashing facebook and the "online culture" while they are using an online discussion form that requires you to be a user and have profile. I don't want to call these people hypocrits, cause I clearly can't spell the word, but I do want to point out how funny that is to me.

OK, it's 5:10pm eastern, 2:10pm pacific, and from another thread, 2:10am in Singapore. Only 4 hours, 50 minutes to go for airing on the east coast 8D.

We will know all the answers after the show! I still think Pip will make an appearence as the friend Kyle adds to FB which causes everyone else not to friend Kyle. And even if Pip isn't in this episode, I think he will be in next week's episode 200.

Good luck with tonight's show, MnT I'm sure it is already in the hands of Comedy Central by this time. It sounds like a great episode!
