The official Pip (the british dude) appreciation society

Postby jonny_rochester_uk » Wed Jul 26, 2006 6:52 pm

Greetings from sunny England. I would like to start a discussion to show my appreciation of Pip. I think the old fashioned view of us fabulous English people is in need of updating. I watch so many of your great American TV shows over here ( Boston Legal, 24, The Sopranos, CSI, NYPD Blue, Frasier, Commander in Chief, Criminal Minds, The West Wing etc etc etc and us Brits are always seen as either gay, insecure or villans. Pip is not the typical stereotype of an English person and i hope you all appreciate that. Anyway hipPIPhooray for Pip :P

You mean British "bois" really wear bow ties and gay red coats?
LOL. That's sexy. If all the countries were gay men it would be like this; America/Britain and if you don't know what I'm talking about, you never will.

But on topic, Pip is awesome even if he is a little wussy Brit.

I think there's one like this one out here, but I absolutely adore a Pip appreciation thread! He certainly is underrated, isn't he? I love him to death! ^_^

Thanks darling for the support. I think Pip should have is own episode dedicated to him dont you? It could feature a sort of secret (british) power that he unleashes on South Park

Dude... he already did. In episode 405, entitled "Pip." It made fun of Charles Dickens' famous "Great Expectations." It would be nice to see a second episode devoted to him (although he did kind of have a big role in "Conjoined Fetus Lady," that was more about Sheila Broflovski and the school nurse than anything.) Like maybe one with the four boys.

I'm still pinching myself from the excitement of a Pip Appreciation Thread! You are super sweet! ^____^

I know Pip is just a minor character and has hardly appeared since season 6, but over here in good old blighty (thats a slang name for England) we are massive fans of the show and i guess we would like to see more english representation. I had a thought that maybe a Mr Hankey Christmas song dedicated to the greatness of Pip to revive the little pip squeek?????

^Yeah! There should definitely be a song about him, at least. Love the nickname, too! ^_^ (I just call him "Little Frenchie") They should also show how he lives in SP, because we haven't really seen him outside of school.

I know Trey and Matt pretty much stopped using Pip when they realized Butters was a better choice for the annoying goody two shoes kid everyone hates, I actually liked the "Pip" episode, but it's noted to be one of the most hated episodes, so a 2nd Pip episode probably won't happen, any ways, cheerio old blightys

^Yes. You can make a discussion thread about him, but don't make it official or expect it to be stickied.

EDIT:I posted that in Nintendodorkus' thread. I was never really that big of a fan of Pip. Butters suits the role he played better, IMO.

Sticky? Not gonna happen. Once Matt and Trey gave Butters the spotlight in "Two Guys Naked In A Hot Tub," they decided that he was the better sidekick and promptly forgot about Pip. Except for his own episode in 405. And they hate Dickens anyway.
