I'm not so sure if Butters is gay. I mean he does seem to have an interest in girls, even though a lot of the stuff he does is kinda gay. Girls just never seemed to like him. In the recent seasons Butters has done stuff that is incresingly gay (like casually responding when Cartman talked about touching wieners in "Le Petit Tourette" as well as the stuff mentioned above.)

Maybe Butters is bisexual, sorta like how his dad is.

Cartman is the almost the same but he seems way gayer than Butters.

I don't think either one really has their orientation stable yet to be honest.

I think Butters is getting to become of an annoyance to me actually. I used to think he was funny up until Imagination land.

and remember in "fun with veal" when he was in bed with stan and had his arm around him? that was gay, but cute.
and in"quest for ratings" butters was sleeping really close to kyle.

but yeah, i think he's bisexual like me.

I thought Butters was hilarious in this episode the way he intracted with cartman and when he swung him around and hit that terrorist.He must have a strong grip to hold onto cartman when dangling on that Traffic light i would have thought both there hands would have been sweaty by then.Wonder what the others thought when they saw him and cartman(out cold) at the end with butters just dragging him onto the bus.

Angry Butters is something rare so far, and this is irresistible ("What are you whoofing [correct me if I misspelled it] at?!" etc.) And, of course, hitting the terrorist by Cartman made me LMAO. As a matter of fact, James76 rightly noted two posts above that "our little cutie" turned to be very strong (at least strong enough to carry an unconscious hulk of Cartman to the bus ). I can't even call it an evolution of the character, it's a real revolution.

oh yeah, here's a clip episode of butters (one that uses the other characters and the one scene show for butters).

The boys are going to the Cemetery because Cartman wants to "Bring back the dead" and play ghost games. At first for Halloween, I was going to have Butters be the incredible Hulk.

But let's just say that this is a normal day in September or etc.

They ask Butters to join in (good thing he doesn't because he would be soooooo scared). But he can't.

SCENE IN FULL:
Eric: Dude, let's get butters he would be so scared

Kyle: No fat*s, lets not pick on him again.

Stan: He might actually find it intresting.

Kyle (angry): ah, alright!

(goes to house-Mrs. Stotch answers)

Stan: um, Hi, is butters home?

Mrs. Stotch: Well, I suppose you can talk to him...but make it quick.

(goes upstairs to Bathroom-Door open)

Butters (voice only): We'll Captian Kirk, looks like we need to save the day from the evil shark face. What is the plan this time?

Mrs. Stotch: Butters, you have company

(Butters appears in Bathtub)

Butters: oh, Hi ya fellas...what are doing here.

Cartman: Hahahah, dude a Bubble Bath.

Butters: well, yea, I like Bubble baths. they make your skin soft, and the bubbles are fun to poke.

Cartman: Wow, you are so lame and such a fag.

Butters( Angry): Hey! Now I am sick of you calling me names like I am some kind of a dork...

Stan: Alright, We were gonna ask if you wanted to come to the Cemetery with us.

Butters: Well, what for

Cartman: To bring back the dead silly.

Butters: Sounds neat fellas, but I can't. I have to go to bed.

Kyle: Wait, It's not even nine yet, and it's a Friday night.

Butters: I know, but my parents want me in bed every night by nine or else I get grounded. I better finish up.

Kyle: That su*ks dude, well see ya later.

Butters: okay, see ya guys.

(leaves house)

Stan: I think your right Cartman, there is something weird about that kid.

Butters did steal too much of the show in Immaginationland and beyond i think... i still love him though. Some of the show's best moments are with him, it's just the show in general has fallen a bit since then...
