Is there a subliminal message to the boys wearing girls' clothes (buttons on the left)? :)

I had never heard of that but there is an interesting history of males having buttons on the right from buttoning themselves and when the Left. I think Matt and Trey just made the characters that way and didn't really know the history. I guess its a fun idea that they are gender f*cking fans too that there must be a small longing to do that and so that is behind why.

The reason boys' buttons are on the right and girls' on the left comes down to the dresser. Boys would dress themselves while girls would be dressed by their moms. In either case, the right hand is the dominant hand, so when the boy is finished dressing, the buttons are on the boy's left side (viewer's right) and on the girl's right side (viewer's left). Matt and Trey just gave everyone the same template.
