The sativa part is the species name
The name for rice is Oryza sativa.
The name for lettiuce is lettiuce sativa.
i wondered what sativa is. It means cultivated.
So when latin binomial for this plant was made, it was a cultivated crop?
It's confusing that sweet chessnut and camelina are both called C. sativa, when we do the normal thing and say the genus name as it's first letter with a dot (like E. coli or H. sapiens or M. musculus).
So someone could be smoking camelina next time they smoke C. sativa, as if anyone says they're smoking C. sativa ._.

i always forget to add a century when doing X century. it's the 20th century ... since the year 100 AD. As abitrary as the year 0

Aww... well, I seem to be caught in a battle of the signals. One tower is giving me an HSPA (that's right isn't it?) Connection, and the other is an EPRS. I think that one's a 1/2G network, If I'm not mistaken.
