South Park Baby

Postby chandalikepanda » Sun Jun 03, 2012 6:56 pm

My husband and I are huge South Park fans.
Most of our inside jokes correlate with South Park in one way or another.
Every night, when we go to bed, we put in a South Park dvd. (We own every box set. I know we can watch it for free online, but I fully maintain that Trey Parker and Matt Stone deserve the royalties.)
Now that I'm four months pregnant with our first child, it's dawned on me that we totally concieved a child while watching South Park.
I feel as though my son deserves an awesome South Park-related name, but it's kind of difficult to find a name that won't cause him to be a target. I joked about naming him Creamy Goodness, or Babyfart McGeezaks, but this simply won't do.
Ideas?

Oh, that won't cause him to be a target... Kevin.

There are plenty of fairly standard names on or related to the show you could draw from: Kenny, Eric, Kyle, Stanley, Randall, Clyde, Craig, Matthew, Gerald, Leopold, Vernon, Jerome, Stephen, Timmy, Chris, Bradley, Jim, Ike, Ned... That's all I can think of right now. Then, if you wanted, you could make his middle name the last name of the character/creator, just to make it clear, or you could use two first names related to the show as first and middle names.
To believe in something just because you're afraid of the consequences if you don't believe in something is no reason to believe in something.

Ha!
Derp Balls Combs.
I don't think there could ever be a more epic name.
I'm pretty sure I'd have to teach him to fight before his first day of pre-school, though.
We discussed giving him a name that isn't South Park-related and just calling him butters as a nickname.

There's always the middle name option. That way when the kid gets out of line you can use full name rights in front of his friends. ;)

"Uh, why'd she call you derp?"
Kid facepalms "middle name."
"Wow you're serious?"
"Damn it, mom!"

He or she would probably avoid doing stuff to risk that being leaked.

I'd say lol, and leave it at that, but 99.99% of lols are insincere.
However you deserve to know that I literally laughed aloud at derp for a middle name.

I think Creamy Godness would be the most awesome name ever. However it would probably ruin the kid's life.
If you want to be more subtle you can always go with Eric Theodore. If it's a boy, of course. If it's a girl, again, you would ruin her life.

Oooh Stark would be kinda cool. That way the kid could be like, "Yeah, I was named after Tony Stark."

I think Pip would be a cute name. I always feel bad for poor Pip.

I'd avoid naming him/her something crazy, you don't want him bullied in school, and you might regret it.

I love the names Kenneth, Stanley, Leopold, and Stark.

Ike wouldn't make a boy made fun of. Also you could use the 'kick the baby' joke because obviously you've both got a sense of humor. As for a girl, Rebecca. It has been less common over the years, and all I can say is that song 'you really are quite good looking, Rebecca!' that Kyle sings on "Hooked on Monkey Phonics" is magical.

By the way, I don't know how you can have relations during South Park. Me and my man always end up cracking up and have to turn it off. Haha!
