Open windows and fan don't do the trick in the heat of the day.

Yep. Nor do they neither do much good at 3am. I had to fix my window screens with duct tape, vacuum the curtains, blinds, and sills to be able to open the windows in my room last night. I also bought a window fan, so that's going in one, and my desk fan's propped up in the other.
Luckily I'm working during the day, so I can be gone during the worst of it.

I finally managed to find a hotel room between the house and work. Now I can sleep without having to peel myself off the sheets every 5 minutes.

I'm a little worried about my refrigerator now. The freezer keeps hovering around 17 degrees, when it's set at 0. The fridge part is keeping it's temp though. :/ Could be because it's 90 in the house, but idk.
