All my life I've seen people drive and thought it was as easy as walking. Since I tried learning to drive, I've began sympathizing with my youngest nephew who's learning to walk. I hope it becomes as natural as typing one day XD

Driving a manual can be tricky. With an automatic, it's pretty much point-and-shoot... so to speak.

Like with any skill in life, practice makes perfect.

It's tricky only if you're not used to it. Once you get the hang of it, it goes smoothly.
I've never tried driving an automatic. Not many people have them here. my CEO does, but I'm not crazy enough to ask him to let me try it. :P

I'm afraid my lack of depth perception is going to make me a horrible driver. It has kept me from driving. ;_;

I am putting an end to it and getting a car when I get my dosh soon and move out. I just hope old ladies are not out and about when I try and drive.
I have been here since January 2005 with another name. I have seniority. (.__. )

Plants stuff their pollen everywhere, all those kids who get allergies because of pollen have plant sperm in their lungs. Flowers deep throat kids :I

My issue with driving is the fact that I am not good at time perception. It's been an issue with me since....forever. I used to always step on the heels of people when younger, and I swear that my mind thinks things are closer/further away then they actually are :/ Anyways, We have a lot of intersections and rotaries where I live, and unfortunately if you miss your chance to go through safely...well.

Also apparently we have a lot of sh*tty drivers around Boston. Which makes sense because if people don't give you a chance to merge and they keep swerving in and out of lanes...well, people are just asking for trouble around here!!

So pretty much, I don't drive because I don't give people enough space..and people won't give ME the proper space to move around safely :o :P
RTL: I love being a dick to people for no reason. It makes me feel better about how my mom smacks me around with a frozen T Bone steak.

I was near San Jose this week - I may have a job there!

As I was driving down the 5 on Thursday (July 4) to make the Simi Valley firework show on time, I could see that I was going to be late. By the time I got there the show was over. There was a terrible accident with the fireworks and many people were hurt :(

Apparently a few fireworks went off to start the show in a normal manner, and then all of the remaining fireworks went off at the same time

The fireworks actually went into the crowd. By the time I arrived it was all over.

It seems that the company that put on the Simi Valley show has a history of "Accidents"

I couldn't read a numberplate 15 feet from me but they still let me drive :S

There's a mosquito in my room, but every time I turn on the light, the little bastard is gone.

The silence of this board is absolutely amazing. No matter how loud and obnoxious, the things that you shout out at the top of your lungs will echo back at you from the walls of empty threads.

And it's pretty dark in here, too.

Sweet.

That's what happens when you leave twice as long between seasons and have each season be shorter than before :'(

I have seen that the book of mormon is finally coming to the UK so i might get to see that. Maybe.

Been back from Center Point since Tuesday. Working super cray hours at work in preparation for home office visit tomorrow. Like 15/16 hour days. Maybe I'll have the strength to elaborate this weekend.

A thread that recently got locked (The F word) said South Park contradicted itself in how it portrays fag and 'nagger.' This reminded me of Tweek's Coffee and Butt Out, which seem to have opposed messages on big businesses. It is probably because the creators are just doing what is funny, or changed their views over time or thought that the situations were relevantly different that differing views are justified. Either way, the show is providing different perspectives on the same issue, giving us more to talk about.

People can't have more than one perspective at a particular time. This limits even the best of us; Darwin saw the data the guy who discovered genetics did but it didn't lead him to that fact because his perspective wasn't right for that. We need lots of other people with different views to mutually point out when each of us makes mistakes and to see things each other overlooks, at least that's how it seems to me.

Getting porn ads when streaming a cartoon made primarily for kids is somewhat disturbing. I'm talking, of course, about Adventure Time.
