One bad joke doesn't ruin an episode...what is so 'severe' about an unfunny joke? That they didn't put more thought into it? That there is a stereotype involved? If so, few episodes won't have 'fatal' problems.
From this episode I was excited at the idea that Matthew McConaughey would come back through a portal in ep 5, returning as a time soldier or something.
