Re: The Seasonal Thread
Houston's high temperature high temperature should be hitting one hundred degrees Fahrenheit. I love summer, but that's too hot.

Ie in the summer at us similar climate with Texas? I always thought that at you is much hotter. In your state no winter. lucky. Dayton it`s near Houston? Or it the suburb?
I hope I do not make too many mistakes?
Re: The Seasonal Thread
No, that would be Florida and California. In Texas, summers can be very hot & humid (especially in the southern part of the state), and winters can be harsh. There isnt always snow and ice, but we have had our fair share of it in recent years.

Yup. We even got icy conditions in the Houston area. Also, for the person who asked, Dayton is about forty-five minutes northeast of Downtown Houston. It's a town of less than six thousand people.

Thanks dudes
. Now I'll know. No, it means the climate not similar. In the south of Russia the summer - drought. Often without rains during month, sometimes two. In strongly arid season can be hot winds and dust storms. Sometimes the hail spoils a crop to farmers. On the other hand tornado never disturbs, its simply cannot be at latitude of 45°.

Sing it with me kids!
We're supposed to get below freezing over night. Yesterday it was in the 70's.

Back home, they got a foot of snow. Where I'm working in New Mexico, it's just cold. The brisk air felt familiar to this native of the northern tier.

Here's a holiday story: Baseball Hall of Famer Vin Scully, the voice of The Los Angeles Dogers, lost his 1988 World Series Ring at Costco. He found it later, but it's a cute holiday story:

Re: The Seasonal Thread
Twas a white Christmas up in the Northland this year. Mild temps, too; right around freezing. Got a fresh coat of powder last night; 6 inches total. Today I saw my first peek of sun in 8 days. We've been socked in with clouds for over a week and after that peek this morning, it's back to overcast.
At least I got a wee bit of ice fishing in the other day. I'd go again today, but I'm a little sore from shoveling. I should hit up a lake tomorrow before the Packer game.
Winter can be fun and I can't see living someplace that doesn't have one. Dress for the weather and get your butt out there, I say.

Don't know how in California, but last week was very warm even for my seats, a temperature of about 50 ° F and above. Yesterday was even rain and the rainbow. Never seen such early February.
