The religions of Tweek and Wendy

So it was apparently confirmed by the “Fractured But Whole” website that both Tweek and Wendy are not Catholics.

Wendy is an atheist, and Tweek is a Buddhist. Is this a truly canon thing?

Would possible hints from episodes prove it?

If Wendy is an atheist, should Stan even be dating her anymore?
South Park is way funnier than Family Guy.
Also Mr. Garrison and Donald Trump are two SEPARATE people with completely different career backgrounds.

I don’t think Stan really cares what her beliefs are. If they were to get married, Wendy would likely want to raise their children as atheists.
