@Kathy we are not your typical French couple. I am from Australia but I am Asian. The only French food I know how to make is 'Roatatoo' it's a vegetarian dish from South of France. I only make that in the summer, it's not solid enough for Winter. We live in Strasbourg it's very cold here in the winter. My husband is French. But he likes Asian cusines, especially spicy ones, that's why Thai, Indian, Korean and Sze-chuan (province in China who's cuisine are mostly spicy) are always on the menu.
Italian cuisines (the pastas dishes) are the only ones that's consumed weekly because I find it easy to make. French cuisine is in comparison more expensive and difficult to make. I only get to eat them when I go to my in laws house for dinner or for easter or x'mas that's when my hubby gets to cook for me delicious French food. Yes it's full of butter! However as wine is consume with the Butters it lowers your cholesterol, hence besides the Japanese French have the worlds second highest life span.
We would of consume more often Mexican food if it isn't so expensive. The mexican sauces here are made in Switzerland that's why. Auchan (a supermarket in France) offers a cheaper option but still fairly expensive.
Asian food are expensive too, but I make my own sauces and cook myself plus we get free vegetables from my in laws' garden so it becomes fairly cheap.
@Towelie I don’t think I said that my husband is a chef. You may have misunderstood me. I possibly said something like he cooks like a chef. He is a better cook than me in cuisines I am unfamiliar with. I think French people are well trained in their senses because of their great love of wine. Anyway with the ones I introduced to him he likes most of them. Unlike most people when they choose Chinese food they tend to choose Cantonese food, my husband prefers Szechwan cuisine. That’s about all. Yes he doesn’t respond well to Cantonese food.
Anyway, tonight I had Tuna Sushi and Egg Sushi for dinner. For side dish I had Kimchii (Korean pickled Cabbage) and green salad. Oh the salad I have everyday is western salad otherwise I will specify. For desert I had a mandarin and some cookies. Then mint tea as usual!

Sucking down Bailey's Irish Cream, milkshake-style. It rolled out of the car door when I opened up and crashed on the pavement, so I had to salvage what was left in the grocery sack. I poured it into a big ol' glass and accidentally put it in the fridge, where it solidified into a milkshake-like substance.
So yeah...Bailey's Irish Cream milkshake.
I'm gonna have me a GOOD night's sleep tonight!!
