What pisses me off is when people try to use their age as an excuse for sucking. Like, "Oh, here's this, but I'm only 13 so it's not that good." Okay. No. There are talented 13-year-olds out there too. It's just falling into the whole "you have to be old to be good at something" thing. How about you don't say your age so people can give you an honest opinion based on your work only. Age has nothing to do with it.

On another note, I hate it when people are like, "Wow, that's amazing for a 13-year-old!" I got this so many times from when I was 13 and under. Yes. That's nice. If you compared my art to the rest of my class', I would kick their asses. I'm not saying this to be egotistical and promote myself, I'm just saying it 'cause it's true. So comparing me to the rest of my class says nothing. Compare me to ALL age groups, not just the one I'm in because frankly it says nothing. I'd rather get shot down than get a bullsh*t comment like that, because if at least I'm shot down, I can improve from there. Compliments don't ever really help you improve, they help encourage you, and the criticism is what helps you improve - you need BOTH. And judged by the rest of the world, not age.

Okay you know what, this turned out too long. So when age and talent are intertwined like it's the most important f*cking thing about the work, THAT f*cking pisses me off.
