About the new episode about pip

I have recently seen the new episode about pip, the story of his life. From the lastest season 10. And shortly before that I have read the story: :Great Expections" by Charles Dickens. And it seemed like they were the same exact thing, the plots were very similar a little to similar, and I just want to make sure and not look stupid. I was wondering if anybody knew for sure if the they wrote this episode based on the british story of Great Expectations by Charles Dickens? Like did they base this episode about Pip on the plot line of Great Expectations by Charles Dickens? Please help me out if you know what I am talking about or have the answer , thanks alot I really appreciate it

That episode is not new. It's six years old now. And yes, they just gave "Great Expectations" the South Park treatment.
