I recently finished reading Stephen Colbert's book "I am America (and so can you!)". I picked a good time to read it; what with that writers' guild strike and all. It was a nice substitute for new episodes of his show.

Actually, I'm reading something South Park related at the moment:
Blame Canada!: South Park And Contemporary Culture by Toni Johnson-Woods.
It's not that great, to be honest. The entire first third of the book , dealing with SP's internet presence, was a waste of time and poorly researched. Why would I care that there are more Teen Titans than SP fancics on fanfiction.net?
There were a couple of good chapters analyzing how comedy is used in SP, then back to pointless chapters about music in SP and other random things that say nothing.
The copy I got a hold of is an uncorrected advance copy. I really hope that the typos, erronious eposide titles and mis-identified episodes were corrected before it went to press. There are lots of them here.
Has anyone else read this? What did you think? Are the errors corrected?

I read something about gay people and AIDS today but I've already forgotten the bulk of it.

I'm reading my Physics textbook.
The only reason I'm reading it is because I have to study for Midterms coming in eight days.

I'm reading some old newspapers now. It's too bad my family's too cheap to get a subscription; it's not that expensive, as far as I know. We have to scavenge from my dad's workplace (or school, when it's in session).

I am reading a book called 'Lies My Teacher Told Me'. It's a very fascinating book detailing what textbooks say happened and what really happened. It's really good so far.
One of the things I love the most about it is one of his arguments against heroification of public figures. He says that if we choose to only remember the 'good' or 'valiant' sides of certain individuals (i.e: Helen Keller and Woodrow Wilson) instead of them as a whole we are really missing out on what makes history so interesting and we are doing society a disservice by pretending historical figures were perfect human beings.
How cool is that?

I'm reading a tex-message on my phone from a friend that says "I'm stroking my _ with my finger-tips" you fill in the "_" with a 5letter word. The other nite he was drunk and called my phone and left a message saying that. I don't think he knows what I meant when I told him I was asexual or he's doing it to spite me IDK
If I had the chance

It could be either one of those, since drunk people are forgetful and don't think of other peoples' feelings.
I'm reading Stephen King's "Different Seasons". The first mini-story was very clever. I didn't expect the ending at all.
