Re: *1206: Over Logging* Post-Air Discussion
Kyle's solution was silly, but not overly funny. He just unplugs and replugs the power to that giant router or server or whatever the f*ck you call that. Must be a router, because it looks kind of like the one sitting on my desk right now.
Anyway, this one had it's moments but on the whole it feels like they were coasting a little this late in the run. It seems like there should've been another scene between Randy's explosion and his little speech at the end. Pardon the pun, but I think they could've milked a few more jokes out of that situation.

Randy waiting for Sharon to leave so he could have a fap, such a guy lol
Shelley beating up Stan because she couldn't IM her BF was so great. Though, at the end, when they met at the camp...was that intended to represent the awkwardness that happens when Internets friends meet?
Randy claiming that massive amount of spooge all over the trailer was ectoplasm was f*cking total win.
I was a little put off at the black and white scenes...don't really understand why they couldn't have them in colour except for the fact that they wanted their Grapes reference to be clear...
The best part, though?
CARTMAN WAS ONLY IN TWO SCENES AND NEVER SPOKE!
9/10

The only dull part was the black and white scene, just didn't find it interesting. But Randy was funny as hell in this episode. Another classic Randy ep, I hope to see more positive reviews!

Bad stuff: virtually no Cartman, Kenny, or Butters. Oh well, you can't have everything you want. Also, the second act was relatively unfunny, but it pulled together nicely in the third.
I'm gonna say 9/10 and the best since Major Boobage.

This episode was in Eric Cartman's words: "Lame"
The only good parts were Randy's porn fanatic and Shelly beating up Stan.
Kyle should have been used more, and unpluging was just kinda too little.
3.5/10

Re: *1206: Over Logging* Post-Air Discussion
Everyone has a need on the internet. Just like his sister to talk to her boyfriend. Just like the mother and the email. Just like the father and his porn. And Stan for his homework. I have heard them all ! ! ! Believe me.
The thought kept rumbling through my head about powercycling the router. I kept saying go unplug it and plug back in. The 9 year old knew how to do it. Do you know why? It is because the children know how to work the internet better than the older people. It is true! I would rather talk to a teenager on the phone for troubleshooting than an adult. There are many joke videos out there where people are talking to children for over the phone tech support and they knowing what to do.
The greatest joke is the one bar of signal. I have heard so many people reference their signal levels when trying to get online. That is the connection to the router, not the internet. I loved the humor in this piece to display this. In reality, if they had just bypassed the router, they could still have got on.

And finally, the last part I would like to mention is the fact that "everyone moved West." The internet connection broke so everyone packed up to a place that had it. This is true for any company. People will leave an internet company just because the service isn't working even without trying to get it fixed. They will "pack up and leave." And the ironic part is they had no reason to leave. All the internet needed was a reboot to the router. Same thing with many customers. It is usually on their end, not the internet service providers.
I had my fun. Thanks!

BUT,
this is not one of my favorites.
I mean, I even smoked a B before and I didn't laugh.
The grapes of wrath reference and the jizz all over the shot made me smirk.
The only thing that made me not completely hate this episode was the fact that they were able to get away with so much. I mean, Randy jacked off so much in this episode!
Anyway.
Peacy Peace.

come on, how long have you guys been using the internet? didn't it make you go nuts when it stopped working for a day or two? especially back in the old days... this episode finally highlights all our e-addictions.
