Re: Whats your Favourite band?
I don't have one. I like most any music depending on my mood at the time.

Re: Whats your Favourite band?
I probably should point out that on the list I put up a page ago, I entered Fish.
I'm not talking about the progressive band that spells it with a PH, like Phish. Fish, aka Derek W. Dick, was the lead singer for Marillion during the 80s, and went solo after four albums.
Look up any of his vids for songs like "Kayleigh" or "Warm Wet Circles" (a favorite of mine) and you'll see who I mean.

Re: Whats your Favourite band?
I've been on a HUGE Porcupine Tree kick lately, and everyone around me knows it.
*insert long-winded fangirl ravings about the musical genius that is Steven Wilson*
Other favourites of mine, though, are..
Sufjan Stevens (who also used to be a ridiculously huge obsession of mine)
Keane
Regina Spektor
Sonata Arctica
Kamelot
Blackfield
Evanescence
Nightwish
Nickel Creek
Arcade Fire
Frank Zappa
Led Zeppelin
Rush (EDIT: WTF was I thinking, forgetting this one?!)
Modest Mouse
..among others. Sorry, I had to list a ton of them because, besides PT, there are so many others I love, and it's so hard to narrow them down! XD

Re: Whats your Favourite band?
I've really been getting into Iced Earth lately. They're quickly becoming my favorite metal band... for the moment anyway. Jon Schaffer is the perfect combination of rhythm guitarist / lyricist / songwriter, and Matthew Barlow has the voice of a god. I swear, it must have around a four-octave range. Look up any of the songs from "Alive in Athens" on YouTube and you'll see...
Other artists I've listed amongst my current favorites include:
A Perfect Circle
Bruce Springsteen
The Cure
David Bowie
Dethklok
Dream Theater
Led Zeppelin
Megadeth
Nine Inch Nails
Ozomatli
Rush
Smashing Pumpkins
Stevie Ray Vaughan
Symphony X

Add two more bands to my list:
A Flock of Seagulls
The Outfield
Found some decent bargain CDs with their stuff.

Re: Whats your Favourite band?
Within Temptation
Nightwish
Utada Hikaru
Enya
Sonata Arctica
Lacuna Coil (claimed to be a ripoff of Evanescence, but they're definitely not the same!)
Kamelot
Evanescence
Regina Spektor
Maroon 5
The Cure
No Doubt/Gwen Stefani
I listen to virtually everything, though. I usually have 1-2 songs that I have on repeat when working on arts; it really helps to stimulate the imagination and establish the mood. I noticed that when listening to the radio, commercials really throw off the mood.
