Re: Michael Jackson
I never really liked Michael Jackson. His brand of entertainment never appealed to me. His high voice and singing style, his dancing... it was all very odd and annoying to me. He was a superior showman, though, no one can deny that.

Well, I did not get any tickets. But I did get this email: (Don't forget to right-click):

Also, look what I see on eBay from those who did receive ticket notification: (Don't forget to right-click):

Re: Michael Jackson
Damn, what people will bid for... dunno why eBay would even let this go on, either, since the tickets are no good without the wristbands.
And even with the wristbands, I hope they check email addresses, just so that those who win these bids will be out of a lot of money when they could have gone in for free.

I wonder if they can get in with Knott's Berry Farm wristbands.

Re: Michael Jackson
I'm wondering, what will Jackson's memorial service be like? Will it be like a tribute concert like what they did with Ray Charles five years ago? And tomorrow, at what hour will the service be televised?

Still the same as it ever was.
Re: Michael Jackson
Tune in at 10 am PDT tomorrow to find out. You can't miss it.

Thanks! And it will be 1 PM EDT where I live. I'll try to tune in to CBS, NBC or ABC tomorrow. Perhaps thunderstorms may not stop me from watching it.

Re: Michael Jackson
I wasn't a big fan, myself, but every so often, I'd happen upon one of his videos, and no mistake, the man was indeed amazing, no matter what you thought of him or what you may have read.
Not to say that I didn't have any preferences whatsoever. My personal favorite of his songs was "Give In to Me," off the DANGEROUS album. Some may know of it because it was one of the other songs Slash's guitar can be heard, apart from "Black or White."

Re: Michael Jackson
That is a ghost, actually. And here congressman Pete King is spewing MJ hate, denouncing him as a "pervert"! This ticks me off for no reason! I mean, MJ never harmed children, did he?
N.Y. congressman blasts Jackson as "pervert"
Oh, and the Jackson family has announced the list of celebrities attending the memorial service. Only Debbie Rowe has decided not to attend it.

Hours are left on the countdown for the Public Michael Jackson Memorial at the Staples Center on 11th and Fig (Figueroa) in downtown Los Angeles.
The next event at Staples is the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus. There are elephants waiting for the memorial service to end so they can get ready for the circus.
Also, MJ is going to be in his $25,000 coffin during the Staples Center Memorial Service.
I wish I had a ticket for the event. I tried. The odds were something like 1 in 223. Well, I lost

Wow, two circuses in a row for the Staples Center.
