Hey man, the name of the song is "Bullet with Butterfly Wings" by Smashing Pumpkins. A lot of people also call it "Rat in a Cage" because of its chorus. One of the bands best songs and a great song for the gym.

An episode so rich in nuiance that a PhD thesis could be written, this is obviously a response to the movie “The Cove,” which recently screened in Tokyo during the International film festival (see: http://edition.cnn.com/video/#/showbiz/ ... n.cove.cnn
Like the Makah Indians in Washington, the Japanese claim they have a right to harvest an animal that is not an endangered species and Americans think that these creatures are “cute” and just want to kiss them. The explanation for why the Japanese hate dolphins and whales is explained to Stan at the Hiroshima war memorial, the spin center of Japan that teaches us Japan’s aggressive rape of Nanking was “an incident,” and that Japanese were innocent victims. The pilots of the Enola Gay are then scapegoated to be “cows and chickens,” could it be that even the writers of SP are afraid of mentioning pigs out of fear of Muslim/Jew retaliation? South Park is big in Japan, a friend of mine translates episodes into Japanese but I wonder if this episode will ever make it here?

Cartman singing poker face = epic win

I loved the ending to this one. I didn't see it coming but it was brilliant.

This is a serious topic that i don't think is appropriate... yeah some parts made me laugh, but the Japanese are responsible for the deaths of 100,000 dolphins at least every year. It's not funny, these are the most intellegent creatures on the planet and they're being wiped out by a backwards country. Go to thecovemovie.com if you want to educate yourself!

DEFINITELY the funniest episode of the season. The creepily realistic Larry King was an added bonus.

I heard "Kuso, taberu na!" which means "Eat sh*t."

I thought so, just didn't hear the whole thing that clearly. :)

I liked the episode and I understand the idea they were trying to put forward (human hypocrisy, that's a new one...) but I don't think they really understand the issue this time around. For example, using the butter is a good idea, trying to make it look ridiculous just doesn't work.

Cartman singing really has gained a lot of popularity. Remixes all over the place.

IMO the episode was terrible. Seemed like the "jabs" at the "whale wars" show were too predictable and generic.

Stupid, random topic to do an episode on. And the drawn out phrase "fook yuuu dolphiiiiin" got old real fast.

kthnx

Actually, I think I'm starting to get the message of this episode (and there's always a message). It sheds light on the hypocrisy and ethnocentric attitude of the US. Our way (slaughtering chickens and cows, both cute and peaceful creatures, albeit not very bright), which is "normal". Of course it's "normal" and damn those Japanese for killing all of those whales and dolphins!

Oh yeah, that human genocide we inflicted on the Japanese 64 years ago. I guess that was a long time ago.

But far be it for the US to criticize them for consuming ocean mammals. Yeah, MAMMALS. As in animals. Non-human species.

I love south park, but this episode is not good. A lot of americans died fighting the Japs. You should not make fun os that.
