Last year I was fortunate enough to live out a childhood fantasy - My brother and I visited the Baseball Hall of Fame in the Village of Cooperstown, New York. While there, we saw the song handwritten by Jack Norworth in the year 1908. Norworth was riding a subway train and was inspired by a sign that said "Baseball Today — Polo Grounds" . Norworth had never attended a baseball game in his life up to that point, and he wrote the song anyway. And today his song is sung at every baseball game during the 7th inning stretch:

Take Me Out To The Ball Game
