Re: *1407: Crippled Summer* Post-Air Discussion
can someone please explain the looney toon characters like which ones were which because i could not figure them all out. also what were nathan and mimsy suppose to be? like where they cartoon characters too?
Re: *1407: Crippled Summer* Post-Air Discussion
I predicted in the pre-air thread that after "201" MnT would go back to the '60 and '70s cartoons; I didn't say '50s or '40s, but same difference. I made that post in the other thread because I thought after "201" CC would scrutinize 1407 with a fine tooth comb. So MnT gave CC something that couldn't be censored. And my prediction in the pre-air thread was right on the money
Old cartoon characters - who knew? I did, apparently, at least that what I guessed in the pre-air thread.

Worse episode ever...

Ok, I'm laughing more at that website now too.
So he's basically calling himself a martyr and asking people to pay him? It almost seems like something Cartman would do.

A lot of people seem to hate this episode... I haven't seen it yet but I think it's a pretty good sign that I will LOVE it.

I guess I expected there to be more of an apparent response in the last episode to all the media attention they received for the last two episodes... Instead I feel like I missed something or Matt and Trey felt like they out did themselves with the first part of the season and needed a break from the media and pop culture.
A GREAT start to the season.

Well Cartman did become an evangelist and start asking for money in episode 4-11. Maybe Stephen Baldwin got the idea from South Park?

i grew up watching this show... and its hard for me to find an episode i dont enjoy... but this episode was awful... i didnt laugh one time.. i dont know if you guys are sending a censorship message to comedy central or you guys are running out of ideas... either way... it doesnt justify making an episode this awful

Re: *1407: Crippled Summer* Post-Air Discussion
I was laughin' away at the references to the older 'toons, especially the part with Jimmy's ukulele solo. Ah, the times Bugs would mess up on that note, and it took Daffy or Y. Sam to show him how it's done...
And it's the same song in the solo, "Those Endearing Young Charms." Nothing like digging up a classic joke.
Before any others may sneer at this ep, lemme just remind you all that...well, you expected something Emmy-worthy? When "A Million Little Fibers" first aired, it was just after the controversy over the censoring in "Cartoon Wars II," so I didn't expect their follow-up to be perfect this time around.
I still got my laughs out of it, though. 8/10.

The great thing about those Looney Tunes gags in that you see them coming a mile away and that somehow makes it even funnier.
