Anyone here excited for the return of futurama?

Yes, comedy central censored poor south park, and I'm, still angry about that, but they are bringing futurama back from the grave, so I haven't completely lost hope in them.

anyway, do other fans of south park here also like fututrama? i know it's made by the same person who made the simpsons, but it just seems different from the simpsons to me.

Matt Groening is a fantasy men, all his work's are great, Simpsons & Futurama are great but i don't like his third cartoon i don't know the name but the third cartoon is in 3D!!!

Call me crazy, but I don't care for Futurama. I haven't watched it a whole lot, but I never got into it. I actually prefer the newer Simpsons episodes over any Futurama episode. I just don't seem to find the characters very likeable except maybe for Fry.

Trying to add shock value would utterly tank Futurama.

Excited? No. Looking forward to it? Definately. I just hope it's as good as it used to be.

I'm pretty f*cking stoked. The series never got a good time slot from FOX; always getting preempted by football games running long.

The series is just jammed with nerdy, 2% jokes and I love that. That's what you get with an MIT grad at the helm (David Cohen). Plus the universe they've created for the 31st century is so fleshed out. From NNYC's pest owls to series-long story arcs about the Niblonians. The wide variety of robots is constantly amusing when you consider that these robots all had to be built for that purpose. Somebody sat down and designed a hedonism bot, a robot mafia, a preacher bot; that's hilarious.

If anyone owns any of the DVD's, I highly recommend listening to any commentary track that has both John DiMaggio and Billy West. Those two are great together.

There's been some good stuff so far. That whole Eye Phone thing was great.

Once they reset the universe, the Fry & Leela saga has definitely been pushed to the back burner for now. Bender's still on top of his game. Keep it up.

I'm really loving it so far! Last week's was great, loved the ending. Who knew?? That's what's great about Simpsons and Futurama, surprising twists and info can come in from nowhere! Can't wait to see what else the season has to offer. Hopefully more Fry/Leela action.
