I can definately relate to tonite's upcoming episode since my own mother knew somebody who had a hoarding problem. Her name was Diane. She died in 1994, so she never overcame her hoarding problem.

I almost had succumbed to hoarding as a teenager, since I at one time was saving newspapers, soda cans, TV Guides & other things that people usually toss in the trash. I luckily came to my senses & stopped around the late '90's when I moved.

I suppose you could say I'm a hoarder. I don't hang on to trash though... although I haven't put out the trash in over a week, and there's chicken rotting in the bottom of the can in the kitchen. That's mostly a mix of procrastinating up until the last second and then falling asleep. I have all sorts of other junk in my house though. Mainly electronics. I may throw up some pics somewhere later to show just how crapped out my room and select other locations in the house are.
