The ending to that Robert Pattison Movie was one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen.

Except for that movie I've never heard of, most of that is just crappy, obscure advertising and/or products that barely qualify as 'pop culture'.
Nothing about the Presidential campaign of Rudy "9/11" Giuliani?
Nothing about the Jerry Falwell types who said 9/11 was God punishing America for not being a fatass homophobe like them?
Nothing about all the sh*tty post-9/11 country songs?
Nothing about all the post-9/11 censorship of movies, TV and songs by giant media companies?
And of course the most offensive pop culture meme to come out of 9/11; the rise of the Truthers.

While I knew Pokemon B/W was based on NYC metropolitan area, I didn't realize that Route 4 was Ground Zero, until just today really. Kind of puts a spin on it.

However, having played through the route, nothing is really out of taste imo. Its kind of interesting in a way, how they thought of doing that. Like it said, its not only a kid game nominally, but its Pokemon (they are so huge anything effects da kids!!11!!1!!). So at least how I see it, its a nod to our reality. But then again, if you pay attention through out the games series, a lot of this kind of 'creepy in retrospect' thing goes on.

If anything, its a reminder that at least it hasn't been forgotten
