What is That From? The Parody Edition

Postby nightmancometh » Tue Mar 29, 2011 4:14 pm

If this topic exists someone please help me to it but if not, here we go. South Park use's an amazing amount of parody and it's so prevalent in every episode what if we had an on going parody thread?

How about we start with Season 13 The Coon episode.

What other parody's do you know that crack you up?

Also, which parody's are you having trouble figuring out?

I'll start it off.

It comes from season 12 the Over Logging episode. I can't figure out if the speech that Randy gives at the end of Over Logging is from something or not. Does anyone know if it is, and what it's from?

Here's the clip.

You can jump to the 1:40 mark of the clip to see what I'm talking about.

Somebody said that that speech is a take off of a speech in a Steven Segal movie. I apparently haven't seen that one, so I couldn't tell you what it's from. (also i don't feel like reading through the 1206 discussion thread to see what it was)

My favorite parody that I can think of right now is the 2001 take off from Trapper Keeper.

I don't watch any reality TV. I don't really watch a lot of TV other than South Park so I was shocked when I found out that the Theresa South Park character was an actual Theresa the "person"...

Then I remembered it's about the people from New Jersey...and it all made sense again.

Season 14 It's a Jersey Thing

One more thing from season 14 It's a Jersey Thing

This might be a stretch but this Teen Wolf scene looks pretty similar to this.

Cant remember the ep. but fairly oldschool where kenny gets sent out to turn on the circuit breakers and they cut to a shadow of a velociraptor. Straight outta the original Jurassic Park!(help me out)

HA!

I've never watched the entire They Live fight scene.

The Cripple fight makes more sense now.

Season 5 Cripple Fight.

Here's an obvious one, but still an awesome one.

It's from the episode from Season 5 Proper Condom Use.

Here's the South Park "just walk away" scene.

Here's the extended clip from Mad Max.

Also, there are a lot of Mad Max references in South Park. Here's a clip from season 13 Eat, Pray, Queef.

Here's the entire episode. Eat, Pray, Queef

These two are probably the funniest of all and there is numerous homages to suggest. I mean " well we have the road warrior" WEEEE WE GO IN WE KILLLL lucious nooo. now my dog of war" Classic. part of what made it so funny is how obvious it was, just like how its not hard to make fun of mel gibson but that doesnt make it not funny when you do. oh and if i remember the just walk away guy that butters was parodying wore assless chaps in the road warrior classic mel gibson. the man is loony.

We could probably make an entire thread of Mel Gibson parody's. I'll start looking.
