A key environmentalist mascot in the mid-seventies begging people to "give a hoot" and not pollute, the Woodsy Owl from Frisco Woods sexually assaulted Mr. Mackey as a child, traumatizing him and causing his hoarding problem years later. When a group of dream specialists under the instruction of Dr. Chinstrap entered Mackey's subconscious to fight his traumatic memories, the 'memories' of Woodsy manifested themselves as a horrifying monster that was eventually killed by Fred Krueger.
