When we asked the people at Minecraft if we could use the game in the show, they said “Hell YES!”
Real shows that helped inspire this episode: Beauty Queen Murders, Snapped, Blood Lies & Alibis, Southern Fried Homicide on ID NETWORK and OXYGEN

This episode features Minecraft, a indie game made by Mojang.
Trey told us he watched those shows on the ID network and that they cast hot actors & added steamy sex scenes so it was like watching porn.
Southern Fried Homicide, Cold Case Files, On The Case With Paual Zahn…these aren't made up, they are all real shows.

That's Kenny's tombstone in the opening credits. It reads: "Sleep well, little child. The Lord holds thee now."

This scene with Cartman booing is actually a parody of a real event involving Toledo Mayoral Candidate, Ben Konop.
