Professor Chaos is Butters Stotch's villainous alter-ego. Born from a life of dejection, he vows to bring chaos to the world that has shunned him. Chaos has appeared multiple times, concocting not-so-evil plans to destroy the world. Most of which, the Simpsons have already done.

He is aided by trusty partner in crime General Disarray. He also briefly teamed up with the Coon. Where he goes, destruction will follow!

Background

Main Article: Butters Stotch

Professor Chaos was first born when "society rejected" Butters, who became sick of being treated poorly by the other kids. He fails to come up with any truly evil schemes though, finding many of them have already been done on The Simpsons. After a brief crisis of faith, he resumes his work trying to destroy the world, even getting the attention of the Legion of Doom in "Krazy Kripples".

He was later revealed to the world when Kenny McCormick hit him in the eye with a shruiken. The boys try to hide him to avoid getting in trouble but wanders in front of a television camera. It is shown in Butters' imagination he can fly, shoot lightening bolts, create earthquakes, throw web, and use his cape as a shield, abilities he retains in "South Park: The Stick of Truth".

He later reappears, enlisted by the Coon to blackmail Mysterion into revealing his identity, only to be double-crossed and beat up by both. He is captured later and left in the Coon and Friends' base in Eric Cartman's basement for several days, missing many days of school in the process and being forced to poop in a bucket with nothing to eat. ("You got poop, don't ya?")

Chaos was nearly destroyed by Butters when he thought he had multiple personality disorder in "City Sushi", but narrowly survived when Dr. Janus showed up to talk to Butters. He later brought out the costume as a way to stand up to his abusive grandma in "Butterballs", only to find she had her own costume, calling him 'Captain Pussy'.
