Cornwallis is one of Mr. Hankey and his wife's three children. He is at first unable to understand how he fits into the Christmas and is depressed until his father sings him a song about how poo is everything. His father later admits he wrote the song to get him to 'quit his bitching'. He teaches his father to believe in himself again.
